Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Mobile communication core network is required to control signaling congestion caused by recent growth of smart-phone, and also to minimize or avoid service quality degradation even if core node failure occurs. To meet these requirements, we had proposed new core network architecture named "Elastic Core" which has flexibility for network resources configuration, high network reliability and service availability. Elastic Core applies server virtualization and SDN/OpenFlow to realize these features. In this paper, we verify that Elastic Core improves network reliability and service availability, by testing IMS prototype which applies Elastic Core.
