Abstract(in English) Low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes exhibit outstanding performance when these codes are decoded by iterative decoding algorithms. Non-binary LDPC codes are linear codes defined by the sparse parity-check ma- trices over finite fields. The weight distribution is an important factor to evaluate the performace of linear codes including non-binary LDPC codes. In this paper, we propose a probabilistic algorithm for finding low-weight code- words of non-binary LDPC codes. Using the probabilistic algorithm, we can reduce the complexity of computing the low part of weight distribution of non-binary LDPC codes over large finite fields. Furthermore, we show numerical results of computing the low part of weight distribution of several non-binary LDPC codes.
