Abstract(in English) | Second harmonic component is introduced into a vertical excitation in a parametrically excited pendu- lum. The harmonic is caused by a force on the pivot point exerted by the rotational motion of the pendulum. We examine the influence of the second harmonic excitation on the dynamics associated with periodic rotation in the parametric pendulum numerically and experimentally. The existence domain of the periodic rotation substantially changes in the excitation parameter plance. |
