Development of Alert Function in Sensor Information Charting System for Cultivated Land Management

Abstract(in English) Nowadays farmers are doing farm work from experience and intuition. Therefore, they may not keep the environment suitable for the growth of crops. Furthermore, as the farmers having a lot of farms, it is difficult to grasp the environment of each farm. In this study, we develop a sensing system using a wireless network in order to solve these problems. This system collects data of weather condition via the wireless network the sensor placed in each farm via the wireless network. The collected data is stored in the database, and one can make a graph from the data and display it. Furthermore, this system can display an alert if there is the value indicating environmental degrading as large rain falling or something. In addition, we installed this system in a farm and we evaluated the effectiveness.
