Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Due to recent trends in society, the enhanced car safety is strongly required. To prevent traffic acci- dents, it is important to detect the direction of approaching vehicles and pedestrian in the intersection. Conventional researches employed the cross correlation of a 4-microphone array to realize an approaching vehicle estimation. However, the pedestrian detection in an outdoor condition is not tried yet. This paper describes a technique that uses a linear microphone array with four microphones to estimate an approaching vehicle and pedestrian.
