Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In a globally-synchronized optical switching network, delay time occurs in buffers equipped at edge nodes. Some users want to utilize leased line services whose delay time is very short. In this paper, for such users, we propose and evaluate a sub-frame division method which divides a frame period, transmission interval period of optical time-slots, into multiple sub-frame periods to shorten delay time. First, the simulation results show that the proposed method enables to shorten delay time in low load conditions. Second, we propose time-slots assignment algorithm in the network which includes two types of traffics; delay sensitive traffic and ordinary one. The simulation results show that a method which first assigns time-slots for delay sensitive traffic gives better efficiency and shorten delay time significantly. We confirm that 8 is a good candidate as the number of sub-frame periods.
