Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, traffic analysis systems using flow techniques have been attracted attention and IP router supports a special hardware engines for flow sampling. Our academic backbone network, SINET4, provides a variety of network services, over a single network platform. Fine network traffic analysis is therefore very important for network design, QoS control, and stable network operation. We therefore decided to adopt dedicated to our IP routers in order to collect the large volume of flow information without degrading forwarding performance. This paper described the flow analysis system for multi-layer service networks which uses the special hardware engines and Netflow techniques. It also shows initial experimental results and new analysis methods in multi-layer service network.
