Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we present an Efficient Reliable Multicast for Wi-Fi networks. In our approach, a multicast sender selects a target node from nodes which requested for the same content and then sends the content to the selected target node by using TCP. At the same time, other nodes who wish to receive the same content, receives the content by overhearing TCP traffic generated from the sender to the target node using promiscuous mode. We also present a technique to enable overhearing in an environment which employs pair-wise key and group key based encryption mechanism such as WPA. Finally, we evaluate the effectiveness of our approach through simulations using Qualnet.
