Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we consider the effect of sensing error on the throughput performance of cognitive radio networks. In general, the sensing error of secondary users (SU) is classified into mis-detection and false alarm. We consider the case in which one of the sensing errors possibly occurs at an SU arrival point or at spectrum handoff of SUs due to a primary-user arrival. We model the situation as a trivariate continuous-time Markov chain, deriving the SU throughput, the SU loss probability, and the collision probability of the primary users. Numerical results show that the performance measures are significantly affected by the sensing time and the re-sensing probability.
