抄録(英) | It has been widely accepted that Route Guidance Systems (RGSs) help improve the efficiency of traffic systems. However, raw traffic data unavoidably have errors, and the benefits of an RGS based on such imperfect input may not reach our conventional expectation In this paper, we seek to clarify the benefits of an RGS with imperfect input by investigating the performance of a traffic system under the intervention of imperfect route guidance. We conduct two series of simulations in microscopic traffic simulator SUMO under the scenario of homogeneous and heterogeneous route guidance, respectively. Based on the preliminary results of the simulations, we found that the route guidance based on bad trafific data could be harmful to the performance of a traffic system. Moreover, the most preferred values of exogenous and endogenous variables are approximately in reverse proportion to the error level of input traffic data. |
