Abstract(in English) The mechanism which results in suffocation was examined about the suffocation accident of the l years-old nine-month boy who ate the jelly containing konnyaku and died. It was not suction pointed out conventionally. if small child bit it off and ate. l turned out the importance is the size of an esophagus entrance going into an esophagus from the pharynx.
