Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Wireless ad-hoc networks are flexible networks because they require neither centralized control terminals nor existing infrastructures. In addition, a wireless ad-hoc network has good scalability because it is a multi-hop network. Wireless multi-hop networks show complex dynamics because each node works individually in the network. This paper presents analytical expressions for non-saturated throughput for IEEE802.11 wireless multi-hop string-topology networks in the non-saturated state. In this analysis, throughput, collision probability, and frame existence probability can be obtained. In addition, our analytical model can be extended to the maximum-throughput derivation. Namely, the analytical expressions obtained in this paper includes all the equations and results of the maximum-throughput analysis. The validities of the analytical expressions are confirmed from the quantitative agreements between the analytical and simulation results.
