Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The personal authentication technology is one of the indispensable technology in the information society. Though many authentication system are developed, a classical password authentication is still the most popular one. However, it is reported that people tend to use some "weak" passwords such as English word itself, or too short number string, etc. To overcome the problem, some password auto-generation tools are used. In this paper, we propose a novel password generation method for smooth typing. Unlike the conventional algorithm which generates random and independent character series, the proposed algorithm generates somewhat dependent characters using Markov process without loss of security level. It is clear that typing the password becomes more easier than the conventional one by some experiments.
