Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Experiments to measure the absolute perceived distance of 3D computer graphics (CG) images were conducted using an optical see-through head mounted display. The results showed that the distance was proportional to the interpupillary distance of subjects if the images did not overlap real objects. In the case of usual mixed reality environment, i. e. the 3D CG images and real objects are mutually overlapping, the distance was either measured to be a little shorter or not possible to be measured because some subjects always perceived the images to be nearer to the real object.
