Improvement of Noise Tolerance in Hemispherical Optical Input Device KHAKI

Abstract(in English) We have been developing the hemispherical optical input device KHAKI aiming at reducing the switching time between multiple devices. This device can works as multiple types of input device, by analyzing the image of a palm and fingers. However, previous KHAKI was affected by external light due to its structure so that it failed to analyze the information of palm frequently. In this study, we have improved the hardware of the KHAKI in order to improve the tolerance for optical noise. The modified system showed better performance on the accuracy of palm recognition.
