Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents a development of traffic-sign detection system by using vector processor Venice. Vector processor Venice is a kind of soft vector processor which can be parallelizable by vector operation. This soft vector processor can expect faster processing than CPU in case of complex processing such as image processing. Because in-car devices are needed real-time processing, we decided traffic-sign recognition system is implemented on Venice. Especially, we developed implementation of labeling and template matching which can be expected speeding up by parallel processing.
