Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) As population of Java developer is very much and many high dependable systems, such as misshon-critical systems, are developed with Java language, Java language is becoming attractive as a language for developing communication node system. On the other hand, to develop a Java language based node systems, it is a matter that temporary pause of the system, called Stop The World(STW), by the garbage collection(GC) has to be solved. Generally in many cases, in order to reduce the STW time, concurrent mark-and-sweep(CMS) method that is low-pause GC method is used, but turning JavaVM fbr CMS GC is tend to be trial and error and even if the tuning,it is difficult to reduce progressively the STW time. In this paper, we explain that we focused on the software characteristics of communication node and the object lifetime of the software for reducing the STW time, and simulating the STW time according with the software characteristics and the GC processing model is effective for efficient tuning and reducing the STW time.
