Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In microwave filters, it is well known that using direct source/load (S/L) coupling makes it possible to generate transmission zeros at stopbands. However, conventional design methods have the problem that the direct S/L coupling cannot be straightforwardly evaluated in filter designs. This is because any useful extraction techniques for the direct S/L coupling have not been developed yet.In this paper, a new parameter-extraction technique for transversal array filters is proposed, and also a design method in conjunction with the extraction technique is introduced for multi-mode filter designs. As an example, we design three filters constructed by a dual-mode loop resonator, which realizes both symmetric and asymmetric frequency responses by precisely controlling transmission-zero frequency positions based on a synthesis theory of transversal array filters. The validity of the proposed method is verified by the comparison between the simulated and synthesized results.
