Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) As an evaluation method of the specific absorption rate (SAR) of biological bodies inside a reverberation chamber (RC) which has been developed for bio-effect testing using small animals, a hybrid technique combining numerical solutions with experiment data has been proposed and used to determine the exposure level of small animals in the RC. However, the validity and accuracy of the hybrid method has never been investigated. In this study, we used the method of moments with the Poggio-Miller-Chang-Harrington-Wu-Tsai (PMCHWT) formulation to find the whole-body average SAR of the homogeneous lossy dielectric sphere or spheroid which is placed inside the RC, and then we compared the results obtained by using the hybrid technique. Finally, we discussed the availability and scope of application of the hybrid method.
