Abstract(in English) This paper describes the overview of Serious Games, which are used to solve serious problems such as in the field of education, training, healthcare etc., and then it shows the current trend in Japan and other countries. On contrast to the games for entertainment, it is very important to show the effectiveness of those serious games. Many of the serious games were designed for their purposes and shoed the effectiveness, however, many others used existing game for entertainment for their purposes. In this paper, we introduce the serious game design process that we are using to develop our serious games, and show some examples. Finally, we will discuss the future possibilities of the serious games
