Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Transmitted information bit sequence in communications is often divided into short bit sequences called packets. Each packet is preceded by unique word and the unique word assists the synchronization procedure in the receiver. The detection of the inserted unique word is important to capture the packet. The detection is required to be robust against the transmission errors in wireless environments. The bit sequence is protected by error correction encoding and the codeword sequence is transmitted in such environments. Assuming systematic encoding, the codeword sequence consists of the information sequence and the parity check sequence. This study proposes a technique to improve the detection performances of these inserted words using both the received information sequence and the received parity check sequence.
