Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, 3D video services have become popular. It is important for service providers to design an application and network on the basis of subjective quality perceived by users in order to provide users with a high-quality 3D video. Although many subjective quality assessment methods for video services have been proposed and standardized, there is no criterion to choose a method. Therefore, we need to study how we choose a method. However, it has not been sufficiently clarified which method is the most suitable fbr assessing 3D video quality in terms of a difference threshold between mean scores and assessment time. In this paper, to determine criteria for selecting a suitable method for 3D video, we compared ACR, DCR, DSCQS, and ACR-HR methods in terms of a significant difference between mean scores and assessment time. The results indicated that the DSCQs method is the most suitable fbr high-quality videos and the DCR method is the most suitable for other videos in terms of a difference threshold when the number of participants for each method was 42. Furthermore, we clarified that the ACR method is the most suitable in terms of a difference threshold when total assessment time is the same for all methods by changing the number of participants for each method.
