Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Time slot assignment algorithms in IEEE 802.16j multi-hop relay networks often assume simple radio interference models based on the distance or the number of hops between nodes due to their simpleness. However, by using more detailed models that consider the signal to interference plus noise ratio and its temporal fluctuation, we can obtain more effective time slot assignment. In addition, when we use the adaptive modulation and coding (AMC),we can expect stable and eMcient network performance according to the transmission quality. In this report, we evaluate the performance of the time slot assignment algorithms in IEEE 802.16j multi-hop relay networks with line of sight and Rayleigh fading environments so that we clarify the impact of the radio interference models on the network performance. Through performance evaluations, we confirm that by carefully choosing parameters of simple interference models, we can obtain almost the same network performance as those with detailed models. |
