Abstract(in English) This paper presents design of a frequency-tunable multiband microstrip antenna with a variable reactance circuit (VRC). Operating frequency of a multi-ring microstrip antenna fed by an L-probe with a parasitic element beneath the ring patch for connecting the VRC can be controlled electronically by a bias voltage for the VRC using a varactor diode. Frequency control performance as well as radiation properties of the multiband antenna are discussed by simulation and measurement. A coaxial-type phase shifter and a varactor diode are used for the VRC in the measurement.
