Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, novel onmi-directional polarization diversity antennas are proposed. As the increase of mobile base stations, the space for mobile base station has been limited and cell design has become more difficult. The antennas for mobile base station are required slim and lightweight achieving rapid and low construction cost cell design. Omni-directional polarization diversity antenna is difficult to achieve slim. In this paper, slim omni-directional polarization antenna which uses Halo antenna as a horizontal polarization antenna is proposed. Halo antenna is a small, cylindrical horizontal polarization antenna. Inserting both feed circuits and vertical polarization antenna inside the cylinder of Halo antenna, the proposed configuration achieves slim antenna with the diameter of 0.17λ . Additionally, the self-balancing effects of Halo antenna help to achieve high isolation between each polarization antenna.
