Abstract(in English) Pyramidal electromagnetic wave absorber using microwave anechoic chamber generates heat in itself by inner electromagnetic wave radiation test. It is known that the inner thermal distributions and maximum generation temperatures vary with the radiated frequency and power density. In this technical report, we confirmed the inner thermal distributions and maximum generation temperatures of 30 cm pyramidal electromagnetic wave absorber by the simulation and the practical measurement. In this simulation, we determined the inner distribution of electromagnetic power loss by HFSS, and also, we determined the inner thermal distribution by ANSYS, using the thermal conductivity of absorbing material, and the thermal transfer coefficient of stationary air. In this practical measurement, we evaluated the inner generation temperatures on a center axis of pyramid by an optical thermal sensor, it was placed at the uniform power density position by using a horn antenna. We chose in the frequency 3 GHz, 6 GHz, 12 GHz, and 18 GHz. As the results, it was found that the inner temperature has reached maximum on the center axis of pyramid, it has obtained moving toward a tip of pyramid with increasing frequency. And also, in this 30 cm absorber, the inner temperature at 3 GHz has indicated a maximum value in the comparison with other frequencies at the same power density condition.
