Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Angular-multiplexing holographic memory system is well known for its abilities of "Fast transfer rates"and "High density recording". We have developed a Monocular architecture to design a compact and low-cost holographic drive, and established Monocular evaluation equipment with blue laser and high numerical aperture to examine the feasibility of a large capacity system. With this equipment, we examined high density recordings of contiguous plural books and confirmed a holographic memory system with more than 1 Tbits/inch^2 recording density is feasible.
