Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The current global supercomputing grand-challenge it to achieve exaflop within the 20MW power budget by 2020.This is 25 times the power efficiency of the most power efficient supercomputer in the world, namely BlueGene/Q, and requires not only imovations in memory storage, network, and cooling. Such innovations will not only benefit supercomputing but will have broad impact in the overall IT infrastructure. At Tokyo tech we have been awarded the"Greenest Production Supercomputer in the World" award from the Green500 in 2010 with our Tsubame2.O supercomputer, and currently is designing Tsubame3.O which will be a stepping stone for this drive to exascale.
