Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The hierarchical document tree structure is particularly relevant to represent a documentls logical structure. This research proposes a way of realizing advantages attainable from making use of the logical structure of documents by developing a method of presenting the tree structure information of a document on a braille display. The document browser software developed for this research operates as a DAISY player Experimentation found that using a user interface of that document browser software improves the efficiency of understanding the document's general structure and finding headings when compared to the user interface of a conventional DAISY player with numeric keypad cursor navigation. Not just the DAISY contents, the proposed user interface can be used for general-purpose applications.
