Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Because traffic incidents cause serious traffic congestion eventually generating economical loss and environmental pollution, early detection of a traffic incident is a very important task in traffic management. Moreover, since many traffic incidents occur in time of disaster, early detection of incidents is very important fbr disaster mitigatioll and damage evasion. In this view, PCD is regarded as a cost-effective data source. However, it is difficult to obtain traffic flow and traffic concentration from PCD. Thus we investigated featUres which could be obtained from PCD and two indices fbr AID purpose. We applied this method to the data of the days when the incidents occurred. The result shows the possibility that we could design the AID system based on it.
