Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In rehabilitation for child patient with brain paralysis, it is important for therapist to evaluate the efficacy of rehabilitation and the health condition, and share their information with the educational, welfare, and government institutions. From these viewpoints, we are developing a new network system for monitoring activities and health status using a less-burdensome physiological measurements as well as data browse at anytime and anywhere. Especially in this study, we have developed a prototype wearable gait analysis system combined with network to evaluate the efficacy of rehabilitation and brace during walking. We monitored gaits of two child patients. From these results, the motion characteristics and efficacy of brace were successfully evaluated quantitatively, demonstrating its medical usefulness and availability.
