| Abstract(in English) | A Learning Management System (LMS) like Moodle can facilitate lecturers in the learning processes. Lecturer could share learning materials while student could send assigment reports with the system to support the paperless concept of ecocampus. As issue of plagiarism is getting popular, Moodle still does not have the feature of checking similarities between files. This paper discussed about some procedures to recognize the possibilities of cross-language plagiarism caused by paraphrasing words of English and Indonesian. Our approach is combining Winnowing algorithm for detecting text similarities and WordNet lexical database for identifying similar word contexts. The experiment had been done with small data set containing abstracts of the undergraduate thesis in both languages. |
