Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a binary coding method using the 2nd order statics of data. We assume the data are described by the Multivariate Gaussian distribution, and formulate error rate. Approximating the error rate, we derivate condition to minimize the rate at binary encoding by unit-orthogonal vectors. Through an experiment using CIFAR10 dataset and GIST image descriptor, we show that our method outperform the others using only the 2nd order statics.
