Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The reduction of insertion force of an automotive connector is attempted along with the advancement of the miniaturization and the diversification of automotive connectors. In order to decrease the insertion force, contact oil is generally used for electric connectors. However there is apprehensiveness of higher contact resistance since contact oil insulating material. In this study, the effect of viscosity or additive substance of the contact oil on contact resistance in static contact was examined. As a result, if contact force is over 0.1N, There is no difference of contact oil on contact resistance. However, at lower contact force such as 0.02N, contact resistance increased with the existence of oil at contact area. In case of paraffin, contact resistance increased with the higher viscosity and a polar group addition. When oils with different viscosities were mixed, the contact resistance became a similar value of that of lower viscosity oil among the mixed oil. According to the result of friction coefficient measurement, friction coefficient decreased compared with the case without oil. Friction coefficient also decreased with the increasing viscosity, and the highest viscosity oil showed the lowest friction coefficient. As a summary, low friction coefficient and low contact resistance can be achieved by adding polar group molecules to the contact oil or mixing paraffins with different level of viscosity.
