Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this research, we propose an indoor positioning system for smartphones. These devices are recently getting more and more popular, and methods to gather life logs by them are being proposed. However, conventional indoor positioning methods require additional devices like RFID, ultrasonic positioning systems or so. In this situation, we propose a method to do it using only smartphones. This method is based on location fingerprints of wireless LAN RSSI, which can easily be handled by those devices. However preparing location fingerprint of many places is time-consuming work. Therefore we interpolate fingerprint of not acquired places from known fingerprints. In addition to the method, we also propose a smartphone application, which visualize location of other users sharing positioning data based on that method.
