Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) BDXL^, which has quadruple 32-GB layers or triple 33-GB layers, is higher linear-density than Blu-ray Disc^. Therefore, inter-symbol-interference (ISI) makes write pulse adjustment with conventional evaluation index difficult. Then, we have developed L-SEAT (run-length-Limited Sequence Error for Adaptive Target) as a new evaluation index measuring the edge shift influenced by ISI. In this study, we investigate the methodology to embedded L-SEAT on an LSI, and clarify that optimization of Equivalent Shift calculation and time-sharing process reduce circuit size drastically.
