| Abstract(in English) | Design principles, architectures, and enabling technologies for Future Networks are progressively pursued in USA and EU, and pre-standardization activities for Future Networks have started in ITU-T. Then, this paper presents the R&D activities in USA and EU, and the pre-standardization activity in ITU-T. Next, this paper focuses on virtualization which is a promising technology for Future Networks, and introduces author's activities for network virtualization and Cloud. Finally, expectations for photonic device technologies are shown, in this paper, from the viewpoints of R&D for virtualization. |
