Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we investigate a method of collecting information on people who need rescuing especially in disaster areas where communication services are disrupted. We have been proposing an application that aids in finding disaster victims, namely SOSCast. However, in order to use it in a real disaster situation, we need more effective methods of collecting disaster victims' information that consider communication range and battery consumption. Therefore, we examine these problems in SOSCast on its method of collecting information and discuss such measures for the problems. Based on the measures, we then showed that our proposed method using Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth has a potential to improve the efficiency of information collection.
