Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose an efficient channel estimation scheme without feedback from relay in bi-directional two-timeslot orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) relay systems. In the proposed channel estimation scheme, Walsh code is used as pilot symbols at the transmitter and the receiver detects and estimates the desired channel coefficients by the correlation processing. The proposed Walsh pilots frame structure could be applied to the sparse frame structure with fewer pilots. Furthermore, since the desired channels are estimated only at the destination nodes, there is no need of channel feedback from relay node which degrades the throughput performance severely. The bit error rate (BER) and throughput performances of the proposed scheme are evaluated by the computer simulations and we show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
