Abstract(in English) In Long Term Evolution (LTE)-Advanced, which is specified as LTE Release 10 and beyond in the 3^ Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), enhanced multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) techniques are supported to achieve much higher levels of system performance than those for LTE Release 8. Multi-user (MU)-MIMO was adopted as an essential technique to satisfy the International Mobile Telecommunication (IMT)-Advanced requirements for average cell and cell-edge spectrum efficiencies in the LTE-Advanced downlink. This paper presents the overview of the field and indoor experimental results on downlink 4-by-2 MU-MIMO which are evaluated by using the implemented LTE-Advanced transceiver from the viewpoints of the antenna configuration, fading correlation, eigenvalue and eigenvector of the propagation channel, and angular difference between spatially multiplexed users.
