Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Various studies have been made in the EPON system protection features. Protection configuration and switching sequence have been discussed in IEEE P.1904.1. However, the adapting the PON protection feature to actual PON system such as FTTH service system has not been discussed sufficiently. We have studied problems of Encryption Key Exchange Method in PON protection switching control. In this paper, we proposed encryption key management schemes that are adapted to PON protection switching. We calculate an effect of 39% reduction time to switch to a standby OLT by proposed scheme in case of 128 ONUS.
