Experimental Analysis of Input Impedance Matched AC-DC Converter for High-frequency Wireless Power Transfer

Abstract(in English) This paper presents the experimental analysis of the AC-DC converter for receiving side of the wireless power transfer system which converts the power from 13.56 MHz to DC. In a high-frequency region, an input impedance should be matched to the characteristic impedance of the transmission line. In this paper the proposed AC-DC converter is experimentally tested which can satisfy the input impedance matching without high-frequency switching except the diodes. From the experimental results, the input impedance of 52.7-j0.02 Ω is obtained. It means that the input impedance of the proposed circuit can be matched to the 50+j0 Ωat a reflection coefficient of 2.6%. Additionally, the input impedance of the AC-DC converter is maintained at 50+j0 Ω even when the battery voltage of the load has fluctuated.
