Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Cooking instructions are written down with texts and photos in common cookbooks. However, the cookbooks do not always provide cooking novices with easy-to-understand instructions. In addition, the safety of cooking is rarely considered in the instructions. In this research, we aim to instruct how to cook ingredients in easy-to-understand and safety way. We developed a prototype system overlaying cooking instructions over ingredients. This system presents easy-to-understand instructions by overlaying cutting lines and how to use cooking utensils over ingredients. In addition, this system provides safety cooking instructions by overlaying the correct position of the ingredient, and the correct position of hands and fingers that hold an ingredient. To do this, we implemented the position recognition and CG projection techniques. This paper describes the prototype system that supports an onion mincing.
