Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The guide system which shows a visitor the information on a showpiece is offered in a part of museum or art museum. We developed this guide system as application for Android tablets. This guide system can identify a showpiece by carrying out the image recognition of the marker pasting near the showpiece with the camera built in the tablet, and can present the information about the showpiece which a visitor desires by choosing on a tablet screen. This guide system can treat information, including a text, a photograph, an animation, etc., besides a sound, and does not need to prepare the machine only for this guide system. We confirmed this guide system could recognize a marker by the probability of about 100%, when fulfilling the conditions that the diameter of the marker in an input picture is 45 pixels or more and that the angle which looks into a marker is less than 40 degrees.
