Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have developed small and low-cost optical modules (BOSA and optical triplexer) for use in 10G-EPON ONU and OLT transceivers, while their performances high enough to meet IEEE 802.3av specifications. A low-cost and small BOSA achieves excellent optical transmission waveforms by using impedance matching circuits in a low-cost TO-CAN package. The smallest dual-rate triplexer has been also achieved by reducing optical path length with a light collection system.
