Plane Wave Scattering in a Parallel Plate Line short-circuited by Conductive Dielectric Lines

Abstract(in English) EMC researchers are coming to recognize that the electromagnetic near fields or electromagnetic distributions are important. Those near fields are usually formed by scattering from some objects. To analyze the fields, we propose a new effective calculation method: 'thin wire approximations'. So far, thin wires have been considered to be perfectly conductive. In this report, the case of finite conductivities of the wires or thin poles is discussed. In the first half, scattering and absorbing phenomena by a single dielectric cylinder having conductivity as the wire are discussed to lead the power balance and to introduce the apparent admittance of the wire. The validity of the calculation is discussed using some examples of numerical analyses. In the latter half, 'thin wire approximations for finite conductivities' using the apparent admittance is derived as same as the earlier one, for infinite length conductive wire arrays illuminated by the TM plane wave. As the application for the parallel plate line, illustrating results as examples are presented.
