Calibration of Loop Antennas for EMI Measurements using Reference Antenna

Abstract(in English) There were two calibration methods of loop antennas for EMI measurements below 30MHz using reference antenna of which magnetic antenna factor was determined previously. One is the standard magnetic field method that uses transmit antenna as the standard antenna with "loop antenna factor (transmit loop antenna factor)". The other is the reference antenna method that uses receive antenna as the standard antenna with "magnetic antenna factor". In this paper, the identity between two parameters is demonstrated by means of equivalent circuit expression of loop antennas and a relational equation is provided. To make sure the validity of the relational equation, two loop antennas in commercial are calibrated by the reference antenna method and the standard magnetic field method.
