Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When numerical analyses in wave dynamics are performed by finite difference methods, it is important to consider and evaluate characteristics of method, such as numerical stability, numerical dispersion error, numerical diffusion error, and so on. In this study the problem-solving environment (PSE) with the function both of automatic code generation and characteristic evaluation is investigated. The PSE is constructed on the computer algebra system of Mathematica ver.8. This developed system is applied to 1D LOD-FDTD method as a preliminary example. We demonstrate the code generation function for the finite difference operator obtained from the finite difference equation with scheme matrix derived from Von Neumann stability analysis. Formulas of update in time-step are generated by the C language from with the PSE we have developed.
