Abstract(in English) | Today, the electro-magnetic simulation technique is widely use in the wireless system design. In order to realize the rapid development for wireless equipments, it is required to shrink the computation time of the simulation. The GPGPU (general-purpose computing on GPU) is one of the candidate to enhance computing speed with low-cost. This report describes a basic study of FDTD simulation using a GPU (graphics processing unit). GPU has many simple numerical computation cores with parallel operation to enhance the computation speed. In order to operate with high efficiency, it is needed to optimize the memory access and the operation/access ratio. |
