Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have measured the mechanical response characteristics and acoustical characteristics of the TeleHead IV and VI, which are steerable dummy-head systems that track human head rotational movement quietly and quickly. The motion delay for the ±60° sinusoidal 1Hz swing movement of the TeleHead IV and VI were 120ms and 5ms respectively. The A-weighted sound pressure level of the audio-line noise during operation was 36dB with the TeleHead IV, and 29dB with the TeleHead VI. The A-weighted sound pressure level of the radiation noise during operation was 25dB with the TeleHead IV, and 22dB with the TeleHead VI. The results revealed that the newly developed TeleHead VI can track human head movement more quietly and quickly than any TeleHeads we had even exist.
